What is this product?
Ahoj-Brause is the German equivalent of sherbet, a fizzing fruit powder stirred into cold water or tipped straight onto the tongue. Frigeo has made it since 1925 and it is one of the few sweets nearly every German adult remembers from childhood. Ten sachets come in four classic flavours: raspberry, orange, lemon and woodruff. One sachet makes 0.2 litres of instantly fizzing lemonade, or you skip the glass entirely and do what the children do.

One of us tried it

Very refreshing, and honestly underrated.

What it tastes like

I somehow expected it to be sour. It is actually perfectly sweet, with that fizzy sherbet tingle.

The catch

I think it would taste even better with a proper sour edge. If you are after sour, this is the gentle version.

Do you ship chilled products?

No. We only ship products that keep at room temperature, so fresh sausages such as Bratwurst, cheese and quark are not in our range, and we do not stock soups at the moment. For a German sausage night we carry what goes with them: Hela currywurst sauce and curry ketchup, Born Thuringia Bratwurst mustard, Löwensenf and Händlmaier sweet mustard.
