How We Create Product Shots with AI
Some of the pictures on our product pages are generated with AI. This post explains which ones, how we make them, and what that means for you.
What is real in every picture
Every gallery starts with a photograph of the actual pack, taken straight on. That photo is cut out and used as it is. The label, the colours, the logo and the size printed on the pack are the ones you will hold in your hands. We never redraw or restyle packaging.
What is generated
The scene around the pack. A product page shows up to six pictures. The first one is the plain cut-out on our tan background. Others place the same cut-out into a built scene: a folded paper stage in the colours of the label, the ingredients floating around the pack, or tiny model figures at work beside it. Those scenes are made by an image model, using the real pack as the reference it must not change.
Why we do it this way
We import from Germany and stock a growing range. Studio shoots for every new product would take weeks and would show a plain jar on a plain table anyway. Generated scenes let us experiment on how we display the products in a more visually unconventional way.
What it means for you
The pack in the picture is the pack in the parcel. The scene is an illustration, so do not expect the miniature bakers to be included. Weights, ingredients and allergens on the page come from the manufacturer and are labeled on the product by us according to UK food standards.
What we do not generate
Photos of our team, our warehouse and our tastings are real photographs. Reviews on this site are written by people who opened the pack and ate what was inside.
