Weiss Lebkuchen Herzen are soft German gingerbread hearts, the German equivalent of a filled chocolate gingerbread biscuit, perfect for serving with coffee on an Advent afternoon. Each heart is baked from spiced brown Lebkuchen dough, holds an apricot fruit centre and is coated in milk chocolate, which makes this the milder of the two Weiss heart varieties. The fruit filling keeps the crumb moist and adds a sharp note against the creamy cocoa. Lebkuchen Weiss has baked these hearts in Neu-Ulm since 1925. The 150 g pack is the classic size for a bunter Teller, a lunchbox treat or a desk drawer through December.
