What is this product?
Weiss Lebkuchen Herzen are soft German gingerbread hearts, the German equivalent of a filled chocolate gingerbread biscuit, perfect for serving with coffee on an Advent afternoon. Each heart is baked from spiced brown Lebkuchen dough, holds an apricot fruit filling that makes up 28 percent of the recipe, and is coated in dark chocolate at 21 percent. The fruit centre keeps the crumb moist and adds a sharp note against the cocoa. Lebkuchen Weiss has baked these hearts in Neu-Ulm since 1925 and this dark version has no milk in the recipe. The 150 g pack is the classic size for a bunter Teller or for keeping in a desk drawer through December.
