What is this product?
Bahlsen Zimtsterne are soft star shaped cinnamon and hazelnut biscuits under a white sugar icing, the German equivalent of a Christmas macaroon, so serve them with coffee on the Advent table or add them to the bunter Teller. Hazelnuts make up 41% of the biscuit, roasted and finely ground so the star stays moist and chewy rather than crisp. Cinnamon and a touch of orange peel carry the flavour, and the icing covers 16% of each star. Bahlsen, the Hannover bakery known in the UK for Leibniz and Choco Leibniz, bakes them for the winter season only. The 100 g pack is the right size for a first taste or a small gift.
