What is this product?

Sonnenblumenkernbrot is the German equivalent of a dense wholemeal rye loaf studded with sunflower seeds, sliced thin and eaten with cheese, cold cuts or good butter. Mestemacher mills the rye fresh in its own mill in Gütersloh, and the 5 per cent sunflower seeds give it a nutty bite against the sour depth of the rye. It is vegan, very high in fibre at 12g per 100g, and keeps in the cupboard without refrigeration until opened. Every 500g pack is ready to eat.
