What is Ajona Stomaticum?

Ajona Stomaticum is a German toothpaste concentrate: a whitepaste sold in a small tube, used a lentil-sized amount at a time rather than the full brush-length strip you would squeeze from an ordinary tube. 

Because it is concentrated, it is about five times as economical as ordinary toothpaste. The small tube lasts about 2 Months if the user brushes twice daily.

What a concentrate actually means

Ordinary toothpaste is largely water and bulking agents, with the active ingredients dispersed through it. Ajona strips most of that out, so what you are brushing with is a much denser paste in a much smaller quantity.

The practical consequence is that the usual instinct is wrong. If you squeeze out a normal-sized strip you will have used four or five doses at once, it will foam far more than you expect, and you will wonder why anyone likes it. A lentil is the entire dose.

Is it a whitening toothpaste?

No, and it does not claim to be. Ajona is a daily care product aimed at teeth, gums and breath rather than at shade, so anyone buying it expecting cosmetic whitening will be disappointed. 

Judge it on what it is: a small, dense, long-lasting daily toothpaste with a herbal character, from a German pharmacy tradition rather than a supermarket one.

Why the size makes sense for travel

A 25ml tube holding more than 150 uses is an unusually good ratio for a washbag. It clears hand-luggage liquid limits comfortably, it does not take up the space a full tube would, and it will outlast almost any trip you take it on.
