Ovomaltine Crunchy Biscuit: Great Biscuit, Little Malt
A very good chocolate sandwich biscuit. Just not a very Ovomaltine one.
What it is
Ovomaltine Crunchy Biscuit is a Swiss malt cream biscuit from the Ovomaltine range, sold in a 250g pack.
What it tastes like
Intensely chocolatey and properly crunchy. It eats like a chocolate double biscuit with a chocolate filling. What I missed is the malt. The malty note that makes Ovomaltine taste like Ovomaltine barely comes through, and the pack promises more of it than you get.
The catch
It sticks in the mouth. Have something to drink next to it.
Who it's for
Ovomaltine fans, biscuit lovers and kids. If you are buying it for the malt flavour alone, you will be disappointed.
