Thomy's story begins in 1907 in Switzerland, where Hans Thomi of Thomi & Franck SA began industrial mustard production under the name Langenthaler Senf. His innovation was packaging mustard in tubes—a convenience-driven idea that was genuinely novel at the time and became a lasting standard.

The brand name evolved over the years, officially becoming Thomy's Senf in 1930, with the distinctive 'y' ending added to give it an international feel. Nestlé recognised its value and acquired the brand in 1971, expanding its reach across European markets while preserving its Swiss-German identity.

Thomy has since grown into a full condiment range—mustard remains its heart, but mayonnaise (added in 1951) and salad dressings (1976) have become equally important. For German and Swiss households in the UK, Thomy remains the natural choice for quality everyday condiments that consistently deliver on flavour and texture.
