About the history of Jacobs

In 1895 Johann Jacobs opened a specialty shop for coffee, tea and cocoa in Bremen — the beginning of Germany's most famous coffee house. In 1966 came Jacobs Krönung, the golden blend whose 'Verwöhnaroma' became one of German advertising's immortal promises.

Today Jacobs is part of Jacobs Douwe Egberts, one of the world's largest coffee companies, and Krönung remains Germany's definitive premium everyday coffee — smooth, aromatic and instantly recognisable in its green and gold.
