About the history of Bluna

Karl Flach launched Bluna in 1952, and the orange lemonade became one of the great soft-drink success stories of 1950s West Germany — sold in cans as early as 1965. Its advertising question 'Sind wir nicht alle ein bisschen Bluna?' ('Aren't we all a little bit Bluna?') entered everyday German speech.

Today Bluna is made by Mineralbrunnen Überkingen-Teinach, the same house as the legendary afri cola — two cult German drinks from one family. The recipe keeps it honest: real orange juice concentrate, natural flavourings and beta-carotene for the sunny colour.
